Program Description:
Join the USGBC - Illinois Chapter and its South Suburban Branch for a Chapter Business Meeting, including networking, Chapter updates, and a building tour, at Argonne National Laboratory!
Registration for this event will close on Thursday, September 15th at midnight due to Argonne's security requirements. No exceptions or walk-ins!
This event is a great opportunity to meet and talk with like-minded green professionals and learn about what is happening with USGBC and LEED in Illinois! The event will begin with food, drink, networking and tour of the LEED Gold certified Microscopy lab facility at Argonne. Please arrive by 5:30 if you are interested in attending one of the tours (please note it will take time to get through security so allow yourself additional time.)
Following the tour will be a brief presentation about current happenings within USGBC - Illinois and then we will hear from George Norek, architect at Argonne National Laboratory, about the achievement of LEED Gold certification of their Microscopy lab facility.

*ALL ATTENDEES MUST BE US CITIZENS FOR THIS EVENT. THIS IS A REQUIREMENT OF THE FACILITY. ADDITIONALLY, ARGONNE'S SECURITY HAS THE RIGHT TO INSPECT ALL CARS COMING ON TO THE PREMISES. NO WEAPONS, DRUGS OR ALCOHOL ALLOWED THROUGH THE GATES.
Directions: Exit off I-55 at Cass Ave (South). Proceed about 1/4 mile and turn RIGHT on Northgate Road. Proceed 1 mile to the North Gate Guard Post. At the Guard Post, you will be asked to present your driver's license and declare that you are an American citizen to gain entry. The guard will give you directions on where to park and enter the building. Please allow additional time to get through security.
