The Medeco M100 eCylinder With Aperio Technology Offers An Easy Retrofit Solution For Mechanical Door Hardware
Salem, Virginia — Medeco, an ASSA ABLOY brand company, is pleased to announce the release of the M100 eCylinder with Aperio™ Wireless Lock Technology. The Medeco M100 offers an easy, affordable way to add access control to mechanical mortise locks with the simple change of a cylinder.
The Medeco M100 is part of a family of Aperio wireless products available from ASSA ABLOY, the global leader in door openings. Aperio is a global, wireless platform that uses wireless communication (IEEE 802.15.4) between the locking device and an Aperio hub to provide real-time communication to the access control system. This simplifies installation, reducing costs and complexity compared to traditional access control, to allow greater flexibility and accountability on interior facility doors.
In the U.S., the Aperio range also includes Adams Rite A100 keyless entry control for aluminum and glass storefront doors, HES K100 cabinet locks, and SARGENT IN100 and PR100 commercial and institutional locks. With real-time authentication and alarms, Aperio uses AES 128-bit wireless encryption and supports HID® 125 kHz prox or 13.56 MHz iCLASS® credentials.
ASSA ABLOY was recently awarded the 2013 BOM Top Products Award for its Aperio wireless lock technology. Award winners were 100% reader selected, by building and facility executives who participated in a national survey. Aperio was chosen from amongst 560 other products that were contestants in the survey.
