Product Release: Nashua Water Heater Jacket Kit

FRANKLIN, Mass.  --  The makers of Nashua Tape Products, a leading manufacturer of commercial and residential HVAC products for more than 50 years, are pleased to introduce an aftermarket consumer-friendly energy-saving solution to reduce water heating costs. The complete Nashua Water Heater Jacket Kit includes all of the materials needed to insulate a single standard water heater (up to 50 gallons) in less than 20 minutes. According to the US Department of Energy, by adding insulation to water heaters without a high R-value (at least R-24) a reduction in heat losses in the range of 25%-45% can be obtained and a savings of 4%-9% in water heating costs can be realized.

The kit includes everything needed for complete self-installation: easy to understand directions, two pieces of reflective insulation which is used to wrap the hot water heater, a roll of foam spacing material which is placed between the hot water heater and the insulation wrap and a roll of UV- resistant FlexFix tape to seal and secure the insulation.

The Nashua Water Heater Jacket Kit will be available for purchase beginning September 2011 at Ace Hardware and True Value locations starting in October.
