The Viking Corporation introduced a new CPVC sprinkler head adapter that allows for installation without the use of thread tape or sealant. Manufactured with BlazeMaster® CPVC compound at Viking’s plastics plant in Charlestown, Indiana, the InstaSeal® adapter allows for fast and easy sprinkler installation.
The InstaSeal® CPVC sprinkler head adapter features brass threads with an EPDM seat for efficient installation. To install, the contractor will hand tighten the sprinkler until it makes contact with the rubber seat. An additional ½ to 1-¼ turn by hand or with the appropriate wrench completes the installation. The final position of the sprinkler is adjustable, allowing the installer to properly align pendent or horizontal sidewall sprinklers with ease.
Available in 1” and ¾” slip x thread and spigot x thread models, the products can be used with sprinklers having a K-factor of 5.8 or less. The product joins Viking’s industry-leading line of CPVC sprinkler pipe and fittings which now includes three different sprinkler head adapters. Viking is vertically integrated to ensure CPVC material compatibility and product dependability at every step of the supply chain, from manufacture to jobsite delivery.
