Designing for Whole-Person Health at Vera's East Point Clinic
Transforming a former restaurant into a modern medical clinic, the space replaces the traditional clinical feel with warmth and comfort. January 28, 2026
The Vera Whole Health East Point clinic is a purpose-built primary care facility designed for whole-person health and a more human care experience. Transforming a former restaurant into a modern medical clinic, the space replaces the traditional clinical feel with warmth and comfort through architectural wood ceilings, decorative lighting, custom finishes and Vera’s signature teal palette.
Inside, the layout prioritizes simplicity, efficiency and reduced stress for patients. Clear, intuitive circulation keeps check-in, exam rooms and support spaces easy to navigate, while a thoughtful “on-stage/off-stage” design allows providers to move through back-of-house corridors that protect privacy and improve workflow. Identical, flexible exam rooms support consistent care across locations, while hidden support spaces — labs, technology rooms and mechanical systems — enable same-day care without disrupting the patient experience.
