Seven reports and two minor injuries have been reported as a result of a manufacturing defect that can cause users of an office chair to fall. The bolts on the back of the Veyer Workpro Momentum Office Chairs that connect to the base can come loose, causing a fall hazard.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s recall notice, the fall-hazard chairs were purchased at Office Max and Office Depot, as well as several online retailers, between October 2021 and September 2024.
If facility managers purchased the chairs for their occupants, they should immediately swap them out and contact Veyer for a free repair kit.
