Learn After Work: BD+C LEED Specific In-Person Webinar Series -First Session: Sustainable Sites hosted by the USGBC - Illinois Chapter!

Program Description:

Join the USGBC Illinois Chapter's Rockford/Northern Illinois Branch to earn 1.5 BD+C LEED Specific GBCI CE Hours for each of five in-person webinars.
The Illinois Chapter has purchased a subscription to offer USGBC's archived webinars in group settings in order to offer LEED Specific credential maintenance opportunities to our members. One Tuesday each month, you will have the opportunity to earn 1.5 BD+C LEED Specific hours at one of these in-person webinar viewings at Larson & Darby's offices in Rockford.
We are offering session packages for Chapter Members only. You can purchase a 5-pack for this series.

The first session is BD+C 252: Sustainable Sites on October 25, 2011.
Session 1 Description - BD+C 252 - Sustainable Sites: This session explores the LEED Sustainable Sites category in a credit by credit format, reviewing the overall category intent and the individual intents of the prerequisites and credits within it. Learn the technical requirements of the credits and, through real-world case examples shared by USGBC LEED Faculty, strategies that work to achieve them.
Session 1 Learning Objectives
Identify Sustainable Sites prerequisite and credit intents and requirements for LEED for New Construction 2009
Recognize potential strategies and relevant team members for achieving Sustainable Sites credits
Describe key Sustainable Sites metrics and standards
Understand basic documentation considerations for Sustainable Sites
Describe examples of Regional Priority credits related to Sustainable Sites
Recognize tools and resources for applying Sustainable Sites credits to building projects
Session 1 Instructors: Brian Dunbar, Institute for the Built Environment, Colorado State University, and Lynn Simon, Simon & Associates
