Trane Opens New Turnkey Rental Services Facility to Serve Metropolitan New York and New Jersey Region
Branchburg, N.J. – According to a new report from Pike Research, the total market for energy efficiency in buildings will reach $103.5 billion by 2017, an increase of more than 50 percent from the 2011 market value of $67.9 billion.
As facilities staff launch energy-efficiency upgrades on existing buildings, it’s critical that they plan ahead to ensure that temperature and power are reliably maintained throughout the renovation. Temporary infrastructure solutions help companies prepare for a smooth transition during renovation and also can provide disaster support for hospitals and other facilities in case of an emergency.
Trane, a leading global provider of indoor comfort systems and services and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, has opened a new rental services facility to serve the rental systems needs of the major metropolitan areas of New York, New Jersey, the southern tip of Connecticut and portions of eastern Pennsylvania.
“We built this facility from the ground up to provide full turn-key solutions including the set-up, service and decommissioning of a temporary project,” said Steve Wey, district general manager for Trane. “Trane is focused on supporting customers on the journey to high performance building by providing the solutions and services they need every step of the way. A rental services facility plays a critical role in that journey.”
High performance buildings take a whole building approach to performance while creating spaces that are reliable, safe, healthy, comfortable and efficient. They meet specific standards for energy and water consumption, system reliability and uptime, environmental compliance and occupant comfort. All standards are set to deliver established outcomes that help building owners and occupants achieve their business missions.
Trane Rental Services offers temporary solutions for both planned and unplanned infrastructure needs. This includes the ability to run test systems prior to shipping to a job, ensuring that customers receive the safest and most reliable solutions. Trane Rental Services holds a large variety and quantity of systems locally, enabling the facility to quickly respond to customers’ needs and minimize downtime, 24/7.
The open house will showcase the facility’s comprehensive fleet of systems such as air- and water-cooled chillers, power generators, heaters, packaged heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
Trane Rental Services provides turnkey rental services, initially working with customers to determine their needs and proposing customized solutions. Selected systems may be rented for periods that can range from as short as a week to as long as several months. Once a customer signs off on a proposal, Trane mobilizes the solutions needed and delivers them directly to the customer’s doorstep. The selected systems can then be connected by the onsite facilities staff, a qualified contractor or Trane Rental Services.
