TKDA Receives National Safety Award
TKDA, an employee-owned provider of engineering, architecture, and planning services, has been recognized by the National Safety Council for completing more than 3 million work hours without an occupational injury or illness resulting in days away from work.
“Our employees are our most valuable asset,” says William Deitner, TKDA’s president and CEO. “It’s the right thing to do for our employees, and an integral part of the future growth of our business.”
The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration estimates that nationwide, on-the-job accidents and injuries cost U.S. companies $170 billion annually.
“We recognize that a company safety program involving employees, supervisors, and managers is a significant leadership commitment,” says Julie Tufte, CSP, TKDA’s safety manager. “At TKDA, our main goal is for all employees to go home safely, each and every day.”
TKDA has more than 107 years of experience, and is ranked among Engineering News-Record’s Top 500 Design Firms nationwide. For more information, visit tkda.com.
