Product Release: Trane Tracer ES now integrates with Tracer SC, BACnet and non-Trane solutions
ST. PAUL, Minn. -- For facility managers, effective and reliable heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system management and control are key to achieving increased operational efficiency.
An updated Tracer ES building automation system (BAS) from Trane, a leading global provider of indoor comfort systems and solutions and a brand of Ingersoll Rand, is now available to optimize building efficiency.
Trane Tracer ES, a Web-based systems integration solution which provides facility managers an online, enterprise-wide view of all their buildings and systems from any personal computer, can now be easily and quickly integrated with Tracer SC which is used to manage individual HVAC solutions. Tracer ES can also be integrated with non-Trane systems via BACnet.
Both Tracer solutions provide online, on-site and remote alarms, monitoring, scheduling, analysis and control with a user-friendly online interface. As a result, building managers benefit from improved ease of operation, faster response times and high reliability.
“HVAC solutions can perform to full capacity when they are part of a complete operating system that operates at 100 percent,” said Joel Lehman, vice president, global controls and smart products for Trane. “Trane Tracer ES and Tracer SC provide a complete building automation solution that is simple to use and easy to customize based on system and building needs.”
Tracer ES provides Web control of multiple Trane or qualified BACnet systems for improved operation and energy management. With Tracer ES, all of an enterprise’s buildings and systems can be managed remotely. Each system can be customized to reflect a facility’s unique requirements to ensure both flexibility and precision. Tracer ES Express software is also available for smaller environments.
At the building level, Tracer SC acts as a system functions and network manager for all individual HVAC systems, offering access from any computer through a Web interface. Tracer SC supports two standard field level protocols, BACnet MS/TP and LonTalk®, allowing for integration of any equipment, such as variable speed drives, chilled water systems, power generators or monitoring solutions, that uses communicating controllers.
