Product Release: Fresh-Aire UV Germicidal UV Light for Mini-Split & Ductless A/C

Fresh-Aire UV®, Jupiter, Fla., the manufacturer of the original 24 Volt Blue-Tube UV® and the award winning APCO® in-duct air purifiers, introduces the Mini UV™ System, the first germicidal ultra-violet light system designed specifically for mini-split and other ductless air conditioning units in residential and commercial applications.

The Mini UV's patent-pending miniaturized components, consisting of two pencil-thin, 9 (L) x 3/8 (D)-inch UV lamps and a 6 (W) x 1.5 (H) x 1 (D)-inch, 120 or 208-230-VAC power supply, fit inside all ductless A/C brands and even the tightest compact mini-split spaces.

Like all Fresh-Aire UV products, the Mini UV inhibits all mold and other biological growth on blower and evaporator coil surfaces and sterilizes germs, viruses, allergens and other pathogens that can flourish in HVAC systems from condensation moisture and distribute throughout a building. UV-C lights also save energy and reduce maintenance costs because surface areas free of biological growth promote optimum heat transfer and operate more efficiently.

The estimated 45-minute installation time for new and retrofit applications requires dropping the condensate pan to gain access to interior surface areas. The Mini UV includes industrial-grade adhesive clips for quickly mounting the two lamps inside any ductless unit. The power supply is small enough to fit inside most ductless system line set areas.
The prewired clips of the power lead and lamp cables snap easily into the power supply.

The Mini UV's other features are:

·         Field-tested as 98-percent effective in reducing microbial growth.

·         Annual lamp replacements can be installed within minutes.

·         One-year warranty on all parts.

·         Also fits in-ceiling mount cassettes, PTACs, recreational vehicle and other ductless A/C units.

The Mini UV is sold through North American and international wholesale HVAC distributors. For more information on the Mini UV or Fresh-Aire UV's other products, please visit www.freshaireuv.com, call 1-(800) 741-1195 or email:sales@freshaireuv.com.
