Product Release: Crown Mats and Matting

FREMONT, Ohio –Crown Mats and Matting, one of the oldest and largest matting manufacturers in the United States, introduces three new entry matting systems designed to be attractive as well as effective, protecting human health, building floor coverings, and the environment.
The Marathon™, Oxford™, and Oxford™ Elite mats are wiper/scraper matting systems, meaning they are placed directly inside a facility.
Available in a variety of sizes and four distinctive colors to match any decor, the mats are perfect for hotels, restaurants, shopping centers, retail stores, high-end facilities, as well as convention centers and even schools.
"What is unique about these mats is the fact that they are [designed to be] both attractive and high performing,” says Christopher Tricozzi, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Crown Mats. “No longer must managers settle for one or the other.”
According to Tricozzi, the mats are made of a unique mixture of fibers that exceed the performance standards of comparable mats used for the same purpose.
They also have a heavy-duty vinyl backing that helps ensure their longevity and durability. In fact, the mats are backed by Crown’s “Total Confidence” warranty guaranteeing long-lasting performance.
“They are a bit deceiving,” says Tricozzi. “Their eye-catching appearance hides the fact that they are exceptionally effective at capturing and holding dirt, moisture, and soil found on shoe bottoms.”
He adds that they work extremely well in those facilities seeking LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification or transferring to a Green cleaning system.
“Mats are now key components in Green cleaning and a requirement for [LEED] certification. The Marathon and Oxford systems lend themselves perfectly to these facilities.”
