NewGround Breaks into Healthcare
Company finalizes significant partnership agreements to develop
urgent care and freestanding emergency rooms
St. Louis – NewGround, a leading build, design and brand company, which has managed more than 12,000 bank and credit union construction/renovation projects, has announced its move into the healthcare market -- focusing on urgent care and free-standing emergency rooms.
“Creating an enhanced, customer-centered experience based on convenience and efficiency is applicable to healthcare consumers as well as bank customers,” said Bill Wynn, NewGround’s Vice President, Healthcare, who recently joined the company to spearhead its foray into healthcare.
“We look forward to bringing our expertise and innovation honed the last one hundred years in the banking industry to the healthcare industry,” stated Wynn. “And we are pleased to be working with two companies at the forefront of this trend in healthcare delivery,” Wynn continued.
Under its agreements with First Choice Emergency Room and CareSpot (formerly Solantic), NewGround will be the primary partner for both companies in the areas of design, build, and digital content/signage.
First Choice Emergency Room, based in Texas, has launched a $100 million growth plan that includes seven new freestanding emergency room facilities by early 2013. CareSpot, the largest operator of urgent care centers in Florida, plans to open 12 to 15 new centers and renovate 29 existing centers by the end of the year.
NewGround President and CEO, Kevin Blair commented, “The public’s desire for immediate access to medical care which is more patient centric is one of the major factors behind the monumental growth of this industry. In the future, the traditional healthcare marketing strategies will no longer work. As more consumers gravitate towards urgent care medicine as a more convenient option, NewGround can help healthcare providers create a more dynamic and differentiating patient experience, driving bottom line business results.”
Health facility industry experts predict a robust market for both urgent care facilities and free standing emergency rooms over the next three to five years, due to the impact of healthcare reform and the increased demand for convenient and quality healthcare.
