MaxLite Introduces Energy Efficient LED BR30 and BR40 Lamps for Residential and Commercial Buildings

West Caldwell, New Jersey---MaxLite®, a leading global manufacturer and marketer of the award-winning MaxLED® line of innovative LED luminaires and lamps, has introduced energy efficient LED BR30 and BR40 lamps for residential and commercial Buildings. The new LED lamps are ideal lighting solutions for reducing energy, maintenance and HVAC costs associated with architectural residential, retail, office and hospitality recessed downlight and track lighting applications.

Using just 13 watts, the highly efficient LED BR30 lamp replaces a 65-watt incandescent lamp while delivering 750 lumens maintained throughout the life of the lamp. The new BR40 uses only 17 watts and replaces a 90-watt incandescent lamp while delivering 1000 lumens. Compared to LED PAR lamps, both models offer a much wider beam spread and less cave affect in downlight applications. Both lamps feature a BR lens that conceals LEDs from view and evenly distributes the light in a 120-degree flood beam spread for accent lighting, wall washing and general lighting.

With a CRI that exceeds 80, both lamps are designed with solid aluminum bodies that are molded into a fin shape to increase the cooling surface area while acting as a heat sink to maintain lumens and the LED junction temperature below specification for a longer life. The BR30 is 4.1 inches wide and 5.7 inches tall while the BR40 is 4.9 inches wide and 6.3 inches tall.

Fully dimmable down to five percent and compatible with a variety of controls, both LED lamps significantly reduce consumers' carbon footprint while maintaining a very high quality of light using strictly binned, color matched LEDs. Available in a warm white 2700K correlated color temperature (CCT) with a standard Edison E26 base, the LED lamps operate without emitting radiation or heat for reductions in HVAC costs.

Both lamps are cUL- and UL-certified, RoHS compliant and constructed without hazardous materials while operating with reduced heat and without emitting IR or UV radiation during their long 25,000-hour life (at L70 standards), which is more than 8 years operating 8 hours a day.

LM-79 and LM-80 data is available, along with IES files and photometrics. The lamps are backed by MaxLite’s five-year limited warranty.

MaxLite’s full-time application engineers are available to implement proficient project lighting layouts and spacing criteria upon request.
