MaxLite Establishes Inaugural Product Assembly Facility in West Caldwell, NJ
Lighting Innovator Expands Work Force and Capabilities
West Caldwell, New Jersey---To create new jobs and invest in long-term growth, MaxLite® established its first-ever U.S. assembly line and expanded its work force and capabilities, thus meeting the requirements of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (AARA). During the last 16 months, MaxLite, a leading global manufacturer and marketer of award-winning MaxLED® luminaires and lamps, has created nearly three dozen new positions, including more than 20 located in its New Jersey headquarters.
“The assembly operation is the beginning of a new era for our company,” said MaxLite President and CEO, Yon W. Sung. “Based on the increased demand and a strong response to our latest LED fixtures and lamps, we are expanding our U.S. operations with a new assembly facility, supported by new capabilities and staff members.”
MaxLite’s assembly facility includes an initial 5,000 square feet for the assembly line in the New Jersey corporate headquarters. Within the initial lineup for assembly are state-of-the-art LED Flat Panels, featured in the popular FlatMax™ collection, with Outdoor LED Fixtures and Linear Fluorescent Fixtures set to begin assembly soon. Zenny Haczyk, Global Operations Manager, oversees the assembly staff and works closely with quality control, shipping and other departments. More than a dozen new employees will be hired in the near future.
West Caldwell, New Jersey Mayor Joseph Tempesta Jr., Councilman Stanley W. Hladik and distinguished guests joined the MaxLite family of employees at a ribbon-cutting ceremony that celebrated the grand opening of its new product assembly line on Friday, July 13 at 3 p.m.

About the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (AARA)
On Feb. 13, 2009, Congress passed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 at the urging of President Obama, who signed it into law four days later. A direct response to the economic crisis, the Recovery Act has three immediate goals: create new jobs and save existing ones; spur economic activity and invest in long-term growth; and foster unprecedented levels of accountability and transparency in government spending.
The Recovery Act intended to achieve those goals by providing $787 billion in tax cuts and benefits for millions of working families and businesses, funding for entitlement programs such as unemployment benefits, and funding for federal contracts, grants and loans.
