Larson Electronics Releases A 20-Foot Pneumatic Telescoping Light Mast

Kemp, Texas — Oct. 29, 2014 — Longtime leader in commercial- and industrial-grade lighting equipment maker Larson Electronics continues its commitment to providing high-grade lighting equipment to specialty markets with the release of a pneumatic light mast that extends to 20 feet with an air compressor that is sold separately.

The PLM-18-CCTV-NAC rugged telescoping pneumatic light tower is designed to allow operators to quickly and safely deploy 150 pounds of lights, security cameras, and other electrical equipment to heights of 20 feet.

The tower is constructed of high strength, heat-treated aluminum tubing for strength and durability. It is comprised of three 6.7-foot sections and includes a locking top-mounting plate for easy removal of mounted equipment.

This light boom can be extended to 20 feet for maximum area coverage and collapsed to 8 feet to bring equipment closer to the target area as well as for transport and storage.

The mast is elevated using an air compressor (not included), and has an air-release valve at the base of the mast which allows operators to lower the tower. The 16/7 AWG wiring is internally routed so no loose wires are exposed in deployment, helping protect wiring from fraying or other damage.

These light masts are typically mounted to trailers or other stable surfaces with an included 12-inch-square, ½-inch thick mounting base-plate which has been pre-drilled to accept four mounting bolts (3/4 inch). A 24-inch wide and ¼-inch thick mounting plate is attached to the upper section of the mast to allow operators to easily support and lift 150 pounds of lights, cameras, and other electrical equipment.

As a manufacturer, Larson Electronics can custom tailor these units to the customer’s requirements with longer sections and larger mounting plates.

“This pneumatic light mast is equipped with CCTV internal cable for wiring security cameras and other electrical equipment,” said Rob Bresnahan, with Larsonelectronics.com. “This mast provides a stable and secure solution to elevate equipment up to 20 feet for maximum coverage.”

Larson Electronics carries an extensive line of light towers, portable distribution panels, explosion proof lights, portable work lights, and industrial-grade LED area lights.
