Larson Electronics Releases 150-Watt Explosion-Proof LED Light Fixture with I-Beam Mount

Kemp, Texas — Nov. 3, 2014 — The Larson Electronics’ EPL-IBM-150LED-RT explosion-proof high bay light fixture provides operators with a powerful and energy-efficient alternative to traditional hazardous location luminaries. LED technology and a compact design make this lamp an excellent replacement upgrade option for the older, bulky, and high- maintenance cost fixtures.

This Class 1 Division 1 & 2, Class 2 Division 1 & 2 I-beam mount explosion-proof light fixture provides 12,500 lumens of high-quality light while drawing only 150 watts.

The copper-free aluminum alloy body is powder-coated for added durability and an attractive aesthetic appearance. Special heat-dissipating design in conjunction with LED technology helps this fixture achieve an excellent 60,000-hour-rated lifespan with 80 percent lumen retention. Light weight and a low profile make this unit an attractive alternative to larger and heavier older fixtures and require much less hardware to install.

This light is multi-voltage capable and can be operated with 100-277 VAC. The aluminum body and LED lamp give this light excellent durability and resistance to vibration and impacts. The housing is specially designed to dissipate heat, which increases the efficiency and lifespan of the LED luminaries. This explosion-proof LED light fixture is IP67 rated, dust-proof, and protected against high-pressure jets and temporary submersion. The EPL-IBM-150LED-RT specially designed I-beam mount allows operators to install this high-bay light fixture on existing I-beams via nine pre-drilled holes. After installation, operators can tilt the light 90 degrees in both directions, allowing for precise aiming.

This fixture is DLC-approved for LED quality and energy efficiency for commercial locations and applicable for Class 1 Division 1 work areas, such as tanks and refineries, loading facilities, and other similar environments.

“Customers will be amazed at the amount of light produced from a low-profile, light-weight fixture like this,” said Rob Bresnahan, with Larsonelectronics.com. “LED light sources run significantly cooler than traditional lamps, reducing the chance of accidental burns and increased temperatures due to heat emissions.”

Larson Electronics carries an extensive line of LED light towers, portable power distributions, explosion-proof lights for hazardous locations, portable work lights, and industrial-grade LED area lights.
