Kimball Office Introduces Functional Enhancements To Xsite Systems And Footprint Storage




JASPER, Ind. — As collaborative work spaces gain popularity, accommodating independent work is still a must. For this reason, Kimball® Office has enhanced its versatile systems line, Xsite®, and Footprint® storage to support individual and collaborative environments.

 

“The new additions to our popular Xsite and Footprint lines provide users with the unlimited flexibility they need to design a balanced work environment,” said Allen Parker, vice president of product, sales and marketing for Kimball Office. “With increased storage options and design and technology enhancements, Xsite can make the workplace even more functional and efficient.”

 

Xsite is a frame-and-tile system that allows users to create a workspace to fit the needs of any work style. Components are designed to fit current office layout and can easily be reconfigured to accommodate future changes. New additions to the line include:

 

·      Xsite® Sliding Privacy Door—For 36- and 42-inch wide openings, the door can be mounted on the inside or outside of an office. The slim design has no header or threshold and is used exclusively on Xsite frames.

 

·      Xsite® Technology Tiles—Allow quick access to power and data with the ability to be hidden below surface and at standing height. Receptacle color options are available in black, white and orange, and tiles are available without cutouts to provide a seamless look when data is not necessary.

 

Complementing the Xsite enhancements, Footprint has added additional storage options. The Footprint® Panel Mount and Center Mount Overhead with Sliding Doors provides quick access to storage options, while also providing space division and additional visual privacy. The sliding door is available in metal laminate and wood with optional locking capabilities.

 

As with most Kimball Office products, Xsite and Footprint are designed with the environment in mind, and may contribute to LEED credits. Both lines meet Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) Indoor Advantage™ certification and is Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturer’s Association (BIFMA) level® 2 certified.
