Grinnell Products Launches New Quick-Install Coupling
GRIP Couplings provide a more efficient installation than standard grooved couplings.
LANSDALE, Pa. – The GRINNELL Rapid Installation Pivot-bolt (GRIP) Figure 740 Coupling provides installers with an efficient means for joining pipe. This installation-ready grooved coupling, developed by Grinnell Products, installs twice as fast as standard grooved couplings and ten times faster than traditional joining methods. The coupling’s patented EHT-style gasket offers simple push-on installation while simultaneously allowing the installer to visually inspect the gasket seal. The gasket is designed to withstand temperatures up to 250 F (121 C).
The GRIP Figure 740 Coupling’s pivot-bolt makes assembly fast and easy by requiring the installer to only tighten one nut. In addition, the coupling’s tongue and groove design allows it to fully grip the entire circumference of the pipe groove. The result is a reliable rigid joint capable of withstanding pressures up to 750 psi (51.7 bar). The GRIP Coupling can be installed in a variety of applications, including HVAC, utility piping and process piping. It is also available in 2-inch through 8-inch sizes.
