The Model GKC kitchen hood controls now offer optional factory-installed optics sensors for faster smoke and steam detection, triggering exhaust fans within seconds. Standard hood-mounted temperature sensors respond five times faster than duct-mounted versions, enabling efficient airflow modulation. Paired with a variable volume system, fan speeds can be reduced by up to 50 percent for significant energy savings that meet ASHRAE 90.1, IECC 2024 and Title 24 standards. A touchscreen display allows precise, user-friendly control of fans, lights and make-up air.
