Emcor Government Services Presents on a 10-Year Project with the CDC to Combat Legionnaires’ Disease,
EMCOR Government Services’ (EGS) Alan Spence, PE, RPA, CIT, Director Emeritus of EGS, served on a select committee with the CDC in a 10-year initiative to set the latest standard for minimizing the risk of Legionellosis (Legionnaires’ disease), the #1 waterborne disease in the U.S., with most cases related to building water systems. Mr. Spence was an instrumental member of the committee, representing the interests of building owners and operators. The committee’s efforts culminated in ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 188-2015, which is an essential document for anyone involved in design, construction, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance, service, and/or ownership of centralized building water systems and components.
