New 220W & 270W Cera Arc® Ceramic Metal Halide Lamps Save Energy, Reduce Maintenance Costs
MENTOR, Ohio – EYE Lighting International, a leading manufacturer of lamps, luminaires and related lighting products, has announced its Cera Arc 220W and 270W ceramic metal halide (CMH) lamps are recipients of 2012 IES Progress Report Awards. This is the third time Pure White Cera Arc lamps have received IES Progress Report recognition; they are featured in the January 2013 issue of the IES LD+A magazine.
The EYE 220W Cera Arc CMH lamp offers up to 30,000 hours of life, with 95% maintained lumens and operates on a 250W pulse start MH magnetic ballast. Immediate energy savings can be achieved by simply replacing the 250W pulse start lamp; no ballast change out is required. It is rated for 26,500 initial lumens and 25,200 mean lumens. This CMH lamp features a mogul base, a CRI of 80, and high efficacy at 120 lumens per watt.
The EYE 270W Cera Arc CMH lamp offers up to 24,000 hours of life, 80% maintained lumens, and uses significantly less wattage than standard quartz metal halide. It is rated for 29,000 initial lumens and 23,200 mean lumens. It features an EX39 base, a CRI of 92, and high efficacy at 107 lumens per watt. The EYE 270W Cera Arc lamp is dimmable and meets NEC criteria for open fixtures.
EYE 220W and 270W Cera Arc bright white lamps (3700K and 4100K respectively) are cost-effective for both new construction and maintenance applications. Customers can replace existing lamp systems with the EYE Cera Arc in applications such as parking lots, roadways, area lighting, flood lighting, retail, factories, warehouses, grocery stores, and gymnasiums. “These new EYE CMH lamps join the rest of the Cera Arc family in being recognized by the IES as among the best new products of the year,” said Rob Freitag, vice president of marketing. “Inclusion in the 2012 Progress Report multiple times is a great honor, and reflects our commitment to leadership in CMH lamp technology and manufacturing.”
