Data Aire Launches New gForce Ultra

Orange, Calif. — Sept. 30, 2014 — Data Aire, Inc., manufacturer of floor-mounted units, ceiling-mounted units, specialty units, heat exchangers, and system controls for mission-critical environments, introduces gForce Ultra, expanding its existing gForce line of precision cooling units to the data center and mission-critical markets.

A first-ever industry offering in the Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) segment, gForce Ultra incorporates variable-speed technology to provide unparalleled energy savings, precise cooling, and increased capacity modulation.

The most notable feature in the new gForce Ultra is the application of variable speed compressors. While fixed-speed compressors run at a constant speed to handle given capacity requirements, the variable-speed compressor is able to use varying capacity-regulation performances resulting in increased energy savings, quieter operation, and improved scalability.

“The gForce Ultra unit is the first perimeter DX CRAC unit made by Data Aire to have full scalability and precision in order to match exact load requirements,” said Seth Inyang, the company's product applications manager.

“It is the most efficient DX unit to date through the use of variable-speed technology that is exclusive to the gForce Ultra product line. This unit allows customers to take advantage of major utility savings as its components have virtually no In-rush and modulate down to a load that is needed and stay there through the use of advanced control logic and component tuning. gForce Ultra truly encompasses outside-the-box thinking while maintaining inside-the-box constraints.”

Additional features of the gForce Ultra include:

• Up to 24 percent Energy Savings over standard precision cooling equipment

• Adapts to required cooling demands and retains precise set point

• Ideal for data centers with varying (heat) loads

• Increased energy savings at part load; helps reduce power consumption as capacity ranges flex

• More accurate temperature control

• Reduced compressor wear and tear

• Slowly ramps up inrush to avoid surges (soft start)

• Achieves greater turndown while saving energy. Turn down ratio is 4:1

• Flexible capacity ranges from 4 to 34 tons (13 to 119 kW)

gForce Ultra is available in single (36 and 45 kW capacities) and dual (56, 70, and 106 kW capacities) Circuit, Direct Expansion models.

Over 40 years ago, Data Aire recognized the need to protect critical data and joined forces with leading computer designers to develop their first precision air system for this emerging market. Today, the company specializes in manufacturing a full line of customizable precision cooling equipment that leads the industry in reliability and speed of delivery. Data Aire, Inc. is part of the C/S Group of Companies.
