Carlisle SynTec Systems Introduces Solvent-Free EPDM Bonding Adhesive

(Carlisle, PA) – Carlisle SynTec Systems, a leading manufacturer of single-ply roofing materials, is pleased to announce the introduction of its Solvent-Free EPDM Bonding Adhesive. This adhesive has several advantages over typical solvent-based adhesives – it is solvent-free, non-flammable and requires no mixing before application.  Its low VOC content (57 gpl) ensures that it is environmentally friendly, odorless and meets all current VOC regulations.

This adhesive is a high-strength, polymer-based adhesive that provides extremely fast installation, as well as excellent adhesion between various substrates and Carlisle's non-reinforced EPDM membranes and flashings. The single-sided wet lay-in adhesive offers a 100 ft² per gallon coverage rate.

“Our solvent-free EPDM Bonding Adhesive is an environmentally friendly alternative to some of the widely used products on the market,” said Scott Long, Carlisle’s EPDM product manager.  “Our position of leadership in the industry necessitates a commitment to pioneering products that facilitate a shift toward greener and more sustainable products without sacrificing the performance and workability that our contractors seek and require.”
