Air Scrubber Plus Launches Revolutionary Indoor Air Quality System

Nov. 21, 2014 — Air Scrubber Plus is bringing its revolutionary, proven ActivePure technology to homes, hospitals, schools, offices, and more with a simple installation process that can be incorporated into virtually any indoor heating and cooling system.

Air Scrubber Plus offers the only environmental technology that is proven to actually reduce contaminants in the air and surfaces of the home.

The difference in air quality is noticeable; the air is fresher and the surfaces are cleaner, with an up to 99 percent reduction in contaminants on surfaces, like kitchen counters and toilet seats.

Dust, allergens, mildew, and odor-causing bacteria are proven to be significantly reduced from the indoor environment with Air Scrubber Plus, which is available through a nationwide network of general contractors and HVAC specialists.

"There are a high percentage of people with asthma and allergies around the country," said Tom Lozano, executive director of Air Scrubber Plus. "In-depth testing conducted on ActivePure technology offers proof that it can reduce air pollutants, VOCs (chemical odors), cigarette smoke, dust, pollen, mold, odor-causing bacteria, and odors from pets and cooking. Now, consumers that are interested in protecting their family have an option that is much more compelling than the traditional filter or UV light product."

Air Scrubber Plus works via a combination of UV light, oxygen, and water molecules reacting together and passing through the honeycomb cell coated with a proprietary formulation of non-nano titanium dioxide and other highly reactive metals.

This advanced oxidation process produces superoxide ions, hydroxyls, and hydrogen peroxide, which in turn clean the air and surfaces in the indoor environment.

Active Pure is a variation of the technology used by NASA for the International Space Station and is recognized as the exclusive Certified Space Technology by the Space Foundation in its category.

The ActivePure technology found in Air Scrubber Plus underwent rigorous testing at Kansas State University. The research team, trying to determine the technology’s efficacy, found that the technology was reducing up to 99 percent of contaminants found on surfaces. The study was conducted on stainless steel surfaces in a controlled airflow cabinet.

A second study, conducted at the University of Cincinnati Center for Health-Related Aerosol Studies validated the effectiveness of ActivePure technology's  air purification technique of combining aerosol and bioaerosol control mechanisms of unipolar emission and photocatalytic oxidation at controlling the contaminants.

“We are very excited to launch a breakthrough new product that is environmentally friendly, low maintenance, proven to be effective by the most respected labs in the country, and manufactured right here in the USA,” said Lozano.
