The California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA) is proud to announce several new attractions to this year's Landscape Industry Show, which takes place February 1-2, 2012 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.  In addition to the latest and greatest industry technology and products, CLCA is pleased to introduce the Technology Café where attendees can ask questions on the spot about mobile apps, iPads, Facebook and LinkedIn.  Native Plant Bingo is being brought to you by the California Native Plant Society, Norman's Nursery and the Theodore Payne Foundation.  Also new to this year's show is "Designer's Challenge" brought to you by the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD).

The theme of this year's Show is titled: Back in the Game and all green industry professionals and students are invited to attend! Attendees will have the opportunity to experience technology, tools and industry resources to help them grow their business as our economy picks up steam again!  Show attendees will also have the opportunity to experience a number of innovative new technology demos on the show floor including: learning to install an easy greywater system for irrigation, installing plastic pavers, building a living retaining wall, enhancing concrete using stains and sealers, resurfacing concrete and incorporating rainwater harvesting into landscape design.

CLCA's Landscape Industry Show also features excellent seminars including Introduction to Green Wall Systems, Design and Installation and Dirt - Can You Dig It?, sponsored by the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), and Professional Selling Skills sponsored by Ewing Irrigation.  Other seminars include: edibles, using social media, money management, pesticide application technology, how to get paid in full during difficult times and much more!  CLCA's Water Management Certification Workshop and test will also be available in both English and Spanish along with many other CEU opportunities.  Also new for students, come speak with some of the green industry's brightest and best about your future, and how work experience with the right firm can earn you a 'Masters' in the green industry.  This seminar titled the Why's and How's of Earning a Masters is free with a college ID.

Besides the excellent educational opportunities available, attendees have the opportunity to network, meet vendors and make excellent businesses connections. CLCA's Landscape Industry Show is free to those who register in advance and is $5 at the door for those who arrive the day of the show. Seminars are a bargain and begin at $40 with unlimited classes for $120. Attendees achieve an excellent return for their time as well as opportunities to grow!

Attendees come from all over California to learn about the latest and greatest products and technology the industry has to offer, pick up continuing education units, network with industry professionals, learn from interactive on floor demonstrations and have fun! One of the things that makes this show especially unique is that it is created from a volunteer committee of industry experts for industry experts.  The show attracts landscape industry professionals including landscape contractors, architects, designers, irrigation specialists, arborists, concrete professionals, stone and erosion control experts and more!

Formerly residing in Long Beach and not to be confused with the Landscape Expo, CLCA's show is located in Los Angeles and has been in existence since 1980.  For more information or to register to attend or exhibit, please go to www.clca.us/lis.
