Mountainside Fitness is a locally owned chain of high-end health clubs with locations in every corner of the Phoenix Valley. Beginning in 1991 with a single club, free towel service and hard work, Mountainside has grown into a fitness empire with 22 locations and over 150,000 satisfied members.
When the Mountainside location in Scottsdale set out to specify restroom products prior to its opening, the challenge was to find fixtures that matched the gym’s high-end aesthetic while providing enhanced hygiene, durability and water efficiency. Installed in a striking black finish, the bottle fillers and water coolers offer gymgoers a convenient and hygienic way to refill their water bottles, a feature that has already received rave reviews from many members.
Sloan provided Mountainside with a variety of water-saving products to help merge operational efficiency with environmental responsibility. For example, Sloan’s G2 8111 Exposed Sensor Water Closet Flushometers, G2 8186 Exposed Sensor Urinal Flushometers and BASYS EFX-250 Faucets each pair touch-free operation with elevated efficiency. In addition, the BASYS Faucets provide an automatic shut-off that prevents faucets from continually running, while the DropSpot Bottle Fillers and Water Coolers have a 20-second max run time to help Mountainside further conserve water.
The Sloan products at Mountainside are helping ease the burden on the facility maintenance team as well. The advanced sensor and dispensing technology of Sloan’s DropSpot Bottle Fillers and Water Coolers ensures hygienic, hands-free operation with rapid refills. When the sensor is activated, the backlit LED illuminates the bottle filling area. The laminar-style water stream reduces water splash and rapidly fills bottles up to 1.2 gallons per minute (gpm).
In addition, the individual basins of each Sloan Designer Series Sink at Mountainside help reduce maintenance calls and ensure the facility remains in great condition.
