Greywater System

Sloan The AQUS Greywater System reuses greywater from bathroom sinks for flushing toilets. The system cleans and filters lavatory water and stores it in a reservoir under the sink. When a toilet connected to the system flushes, it pumps water from the reservoir to the toilet tank. The system can be used in hotels, schools, commercial buildings and multifamily complexes.

MBCI The LokSeam SSR system metal roof for Utah’s Daybreak Elementary School uses a snap-together system featuring a 13/4-inch vertical leg that creates shadow lines along the length of the building. Base material was 24 gauge Galvalume coated with the MBCI PVDF resin based Signature 300 Series in a custom gray and Colonial Red. The project attained LEED Silver certification.

Hand Dryer

American Dryer The eXtremeAir dries hands in 10-15 seconds. That’s three times faster than conventional hand dryers. The patent pending design uses 80 percent less energy, is GreenSpec listed and helps qualify for LEED credits. The dryer provides a 95 percent cost savings versus paper towels while eliminating maintenance costs and improving hygiene.

Lamp Recycling

Air Cycle Corp. The Premium Bulb Eater crushes spent fluorescent lamps into recyclable material, captures over 99.99 percent of vapors, frees up storage for spent lamps, reduces handling and labor costs and cuts recycling costs. Mounted to a 55-gallon container, it holds up to 1350 4-foot fluorescent lamps. A recent study showed non-detectable levels of escaped mercury vapor even after crushing 1500 lamps.

Automatic Transfer Switch

Russelectric The company’s combination automatic transfer-bypass/isolation switches are available in single- and two-source configurations for loads to 4000 amps. For loads to 3,000 amps, a space-saving vertical design, with the bypass/isolation switch above the transfer switch, reduces the unit’s footprint by 50 percent.
