Modernized Student Housing Balances Comfort, Community and Efficiency

The renovation of the Berkeley units reimagines student living with durable materials, flexible layouts and sustainable upgrades.

The Berkeley student housing renovation was driven by the need to balance privacy, comfort, community and operational efficiency. Upgraded window blinds, redesigned kitchens and modern finishes create a more inviting and functional environment for residents. Durable materials like luxury vinyl plank flooring and quartz countertops minimize maintenance while maintaining a high-end look. Wall-mounted vanities and LED lighting support easier cleaning and lower energy use, improving long-term efficiency.

Operational performance was central to the project’s design, with finishes and layouts selected to reduce upkeep time and costs. Flexible spaces that can be adapted for different occupancy needs, such as rooms convertible between singles and doubles, ensure long-term versatility. Sustainability also played a key role, with energy-efficient appliances, low-flow fixtures and LED lighting helping to lower utility costs and environmental impact.
