Parker Hannifin Corporation, the global leader in motion and control technologies, has released a new web-based control system for small store formats in the food retail market. The Parker Facility Maintenance Dashboard (Facility M.D.) system provides small store owners with seamless connectivity to manage their business more effectively while costing considerably less than many competitive solutions. Facility M.D. focuses on the management of energy consumption, equipment management and health, and perishable product integrity and safety. '

The Facility M.D. system is a combination of hardware and software working together to deliver seamless enterprise facility management, focused on maintaining temperature, HVAC, lighting zones, refrigeration, and much more. The newly developed modular hardware allows the solution to be sized right for each application and store. The user interface and analytics have been moved to a brand new, web-based software application, which provides both dashboard summaries and detailed, device level data. Utilizing the power of a central server, the Facility M.D. system is able to perform real-time analytics for the entire enterprise – looking at the predicted performance, reporting key metrics to show when a piece of equipment or an entire store is not performing to expectations. All of this management can take place from any internet-connected phone, tablet, or computer, enabling a true IoT management methodology.
