The LV980 series fixtures control temperature and pressure by directing hot and cold water to a mixing chamber with a thermostatic element. When an inlet temperature or pressure fluctuation causes a rise in outlet temperature, the paraffin-technology elements expand and move a piston. This process allows for restriction in the hot-water supply and a proportional increase in the cold-water supply. The reverse occurs when the water temperature decreases. The valves provide mixed water from flows down to 2.5 gallons per minute.
