Small Lessons from Energy Planning for Big Users

Program Description:
Join the USGBC - Illinois Chapter's West Suburban Branch for an education program, Small Lessons from Energy Planning for Big Users. (Submitted for 1.5 GBCI hours)
Large energy users have to create large plans in order to effectively manage energy. Smaller users might consider such planning superfluous given the relative cost of energy to their operations, however these users can learn much from the process of energy management planning. The program will cover the tools of the energy planning process, and how some of those tools apply to planning for the smaller user.
Learning Objectives:
1. Define energy use in quantitative terms.
2. Understand how each primary form of energy makes its way to a building.
3. Understand the process of energy management planning.
4. Apply steps from the energy management planning process to a smaller facility.
