Solar-Powered Security Gate Offers Instant Deployment
Feb. 5, 2015 — The "HUG" (Heavy Utility Gate) is a completely self-contained, solar-powered gate that can be instantly deployed for short- or long-term use as a security checkpoint or access gate to protect personnel, equipment, and restricted areas during emergencies, accidents, or incidents and for day-to-day use as well.
Useable in all kinds of weather, the HUG has numerous options for allowing access, including remote control key fobs, key pad, wireless intercom, or manual wired pendant. Standard features include a reflective arm for night duty, adjustable levelers, security anchor points, and enclosed battery boxes.
Two HUGs can also be remotely controlled to direct traffic into staging or inspection areas and for use in "Hot Zones." The HUG remotely allows only authorized vehicles into the area, eliminating non-essential personnel’s exposure to CBRNE threats at checkpoints.
In situations that are fluid, or require mobility, the "TUG" or Towable Utility Gate has the same features as the HUG, yet is mounted on highway-rated tires and can be "Daisy Chained," allowing multiple TUGs to be deployed at numerous locations and to be in service in about 60 seconds.
Now in use by the military and dozens of corporations, schools, and hospitals, portable utility gates offer a versatile extra layer of protection and are proudly made in America. For more information, visit http://www.deellc.com/bob.
