Simon Roofing has earned the renewal of company-wide ISO 9001:2015 quality-management certification, formerly known as ISO 9001:2008. Simon Roofing’s ISO certification covers the manufacturing, installation and service of high-quality, resistant coating formulations and materials for building, construction and specialty applications. “It’s rare, if not unprecedented, for a roofing company to achieve ISO certification across its entire operations, and it’s a sign to our customers that we’re committed to quality control and continuous improvement in everything we do,” says Michael Dohar, COO with Simon Roofing. TUV Rheinland of North America, Inc. recently completed an audit of Simon Roofing’s operations that validated its company-wide ISO certification first achieved in 2016. The company’s manufacturing and call center operations first achieved ISO certification in 2010. ISO 9001:2015 certification is awarded to organizations that meet the thorough criteria for assuring quality and continuous improvement in the products or services they provide their customers. New to the standard is a risk and opportunity management criterion that reinforces its use as a governance tool. According to ISO, this makes it quicker and easier to implement multiple management systems, saving both time and money. Simon Roofing is the 14th largest commercial roofing company in the U.S., according to Roofing Contractor magazine, and maintains 66 service centers throughout the country. Simon Surfaces, a division of Simon Roofing, provides commercial and industrial floor resurfacing, concrete repair and gas island foundation restoration services. Simon Products is the manufacturing arm of the company that produces advanced roof and floor coating products sold exclusively through Simon Roofing and Simon Surfaces.
