Greater Los Angeles BOMA Chapter Names The Commons 'Outstanding Building of the Year'

Los Angeles — Oct. 30, 2014 – Transwestern announced that The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Greater Los Angeles chapter has named The Commons “The Outstanding Building of the Year” (TOBY) for 2014 in the Under 100,000 Square Feet category.

The award recognizes outstanding commercial office buildings and excellence in building management and operations. Transwestern manages the 85,507-square-foot office and retail project, which is owned by Pasadena Commons LLC.

“We’re extremely proud of Property Manager Vanna Kim and her team for exemplifying Transwestern’s high standards of excellence in building management and operations,” said Dave Rock, managing senior vice president at Transwestern. “This success was built on having a great asset with ownership committed to providing a high-quality environment for tenants. We appreciate the support of Pasadena Commons and BOMA’s continued recognition of industry-leading service and professionals.”

During the competition, all facets of a building’s operations are thoroughly evaluated, including community involvement, site management, and environmental policies and procedures. The Commons, located at 140-146 S. Lake Ave., Pasadena, will now move to the regional level of competition.

Transwestern is a privately held real estate firm specializing in agency leasing, property and facilities management, tenant advisory, capital markets, research, and sustainability.
