Douglas Battery is 'Taking Charge' at ProMat 2015 with Expanded Presence and New Line of Chargers
Winston-Salem, N.C. — March 19, 2015 — Douglas Battery is expanding its presence at ProMat 2015, Chicago, Ill., March 23-26, with a new 750-square-foot exhibit featuring its full range of batteries and chargers, as well as its new charger product line.
“We have increased our show presence by more than 350 percent this year to showcase our full line of products designed to meet the high power demands of today's industrial equipment, including forklifts, walkies, and automatic guided vehicles,” explained Brian Faust, general manager, Douglas Battery.
Themed “Taking Charge,” the Douglas Battery booth will feature a broad product line of batteries and accessories, and also the recently launched charger product line, including:
BOLD Raptor Rapid charger: a high-frequency, high speed, fully automatic modular charger that can eliminate the need for battery changes. Featuring high energy-efficiency and a high power factor, the Raptor Rapid charger reduces operating costs while improving productivity.
BOLD The compact, high efficiency Legacy Neo HF charger: a compact, high efficiency charger that is ideal for operations in which space is limited. The Neo HF charger reduces energy use and extends battery life.
BOLD The versatile, high-powered Legacy Insight HF charger: Delivers a higher power factor and greater efficiency than conventional chargers. The Insight HF charger is capable of opportunity charge and can automatically charge batteries of various voltages and capacities.
Visitors also will be able to see a demonstration of the newly enhanced Douglas DataTrac battery monitoring system, which collects data about the battery’s usage, charge return, water level, temperature, and equalization. The enhanced design features a smaller, space-saving footprint and more robust, UL-compliant packaging.
In addition, visitors interested in converting from propane-powered to electric forklifts can estimate their potential savings using the Douglas Battery “IC to Electric” calculator. Demonstrated on a flat screen monitor in the booth, the calculator estimates return on investment by comparing purchase terms, fuel costs, fleet size, and maintenance costs.
