OSRAM SYLVANIA Announces Octron 800 XP XL ECOLOGIC3 Lamps

Now Offer Longest Lamp Life in InduStry

Up to 84,000 Hours Lamp Life Helps
Reduce Maintenance Cost Without Sacrificing Performance

Danvers, Mass. – Dedicated to providing industry-leading and high performance lighting solutions, North American lighting leader OSRAM SYLVANIA today announced its SYLVANIA OCTRON® 800 XP® XL (eXtended Life) ECOLOGIC®3 T8 Fluorescent Lamp life has been improved by 44 percent, providing the longest lamp life in the industry on T8 ANSI rated ballasts. This life increase reflects up to 2.7 times longer life than standard T8 systems. Manufactured in the USA, these lamps feature eXtended Life benefits of up to 75,000 hours life on instant-start ballasts and 84,000 hours life on programmed rapid-start ballasts. The life ratings reflect up to two times longer life than OCTRON XP or XV™ T8 lamps, which is equivalent to an additional eight years of maintenance-free lighting for typical operating cycles of 4,000 hours per year.

Available in 32-watt and reduced wattage SUPERSAVER® types, OCTRON 800 XP XL lamps have a color rendering index up to 85 and are available in a variety of color temperatures ranging from 3000K to 5000K. As an ideal candidate for education, healthcare, industrial, office and retail installations, OCTRON 800 XP XL lamps are best suited for recessed troffer, wall-washing, stairways, direct and indirect pendant and linear recessed applications.

“OCTRON 800 XP XL ECOLOGIC3 T8 fluorescent lamps meet today’s lighting needs for very high efficiency, long-life and superior color rendition and help reduce maintenance costs without sacrificing performance,” said Jennifer Habel, fluorescent product marketing manager, OSRAM SYLVANIA. “Offering the longest lamp life in the industry for fluorescent lamps on T8 ANSI rated ballasts is another example of how OSRAM SYLVANIA is providing lighting that leads.”

For maximum energy savings, lighting designers and specifiers can couple this lamp with the high-efficiency QUICKTRONIC® ballast and use POWERSENSE® dimming for even more energy savings. When paired with high efficiency QUICKTRONIC electronic T8 ballasts (QHE), energy savings up to 40 percent over magnetic 34WT12 SS systems and up to 20 percent over standard T8 systems are possible. The XP/XL lamp and SYLVANIA ballast system is covered by the company’s industry leading 5-year QUICK 60+® warranty. OCTRON 800 XP XL lamps are lead-free, and TCLP and ROHS compliant.
