Turfco's TriWave 40 Offers Superintendents New Level of Speed and Versatility

—Towable seeder provides quick, easy solution for
ultimate germination—

MINNEAPOLIS ─ Turfco introduces the new TriWave™ 40 Tow-Behind Overseeder. The towable model offers the most speed, versatility and simple operation of any overseeder on the market.

Unlike other overseeders, Turfco’s TriWave 40 quickly attaches to most turf vehicles making it convenient and efficient to use. In minutes the seeder can be hooked up and ready to use, eliminating the typical hassle associated with planning and setting up an overseeder. Once ready, the TriWave 40 can overseed and spot seed a variety of turf areas including greens, fairways, roughs, tee boxes and driving ranges with any seed and no gear or mechanical changes. Now superintendents can literally hook up the seeder and go.

"Superintendents want excellent germination, unprecedented versatility, ease of set-up and speed. The TriWave 40 makes this all possible," said Scott Kinkead, Turfco's executive Vice President.

The versatility of the towable TriWave 40 enables crews to seed more often and tackle any area on the golf course, from slightly to severely damaged. Additionally, the TriWave can be quickly adjusted without any tools to get the right depth for any turf conditions. And, because it’s ready in minutes, the overseeder efficiently gets the job done from set-up to putting the machine away and transporting.

“Coming out of the winter, my greens were half dead, and using the tow-behind TriWave 40 not only saved my greens, but also saved me a lot of time,” said Dave Erickson, golf course superintendent for Eagle Valley Golf Course in Woodbury, Minn. “I was able to triple seed 190,000 square feet of area in one day, and the TriWave allowed me to seed my greens and fairways with different varieties of seed. I also appreciated that it didn’t cause any damage or disruption to my turf.”

With the patent-pending WaveBlade™ technology, the counter-rotating blades on the TriWave 40 create clean square slits for optimal germination with decreased turf disruption. To further increase productivity, the TriWave 40 can turn while seeding and even seed greens with steep sides and bunker surrounds. One button lifts and lowers the seeder so operators can spot seed quickly and move on to the next area. In addition, the seeder features floating heads that follow the contour of the ground for the most effective seeding and a patented seed-delivery system to ensure excellent germination each time.

“The TriWave 40 Tow-Behind Overseeder continues to provide excellent germination without damaging existing turf,” said Kinkead. “The ability to easily pull and transport makes the tow-behind model efficient and simple.”

The same WaveBlade™ technology is offered in the self-propelled and walking TriWave models.

The TriWave 40 Tow-Behind Overseeder is covered by Turfco’s standard two-year warranty and is available with both greens blades for minimal disruption and standard blades.
