Legrand/Wiremold Adds Capacity and Flexibility to Floor Box Line

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Legrand/Wiremold has announced several enhancements to the Evolution™ Series Floor Box that provide additional capacity, flexibility and ease of installation. Evolution Series floor boxes have unique design features that allow the same box to be installed in raised, concrete, and wood floors without additional parts or accessories. In addition, Legrand/Wiremold has released a series of videos that cover all aspects of product installation, including the new fire-classified Evolution Series floor box.

The Evolution Series six-gang box now accepts 2" conduit hubs that enable up to six conduit feeds into the box while maintaining a shallow (4") concrete pour. These hubs increase capacity and flexibility for supplying power, communications and audio/video.  In addition, the six-gang, on-grade Evolution Series floor box now includes a 2" conduit knockout on the bottom of the box for additional capacity and flexibility.

Legrand/Wiremold has also introduced one-piece molded tunnels that are sized for six-, eight-, and 10-gang boxes. They create discrete channels for wires and cables, and make it easy to wrap cables around from one side of the box to the other.

Additional steel mounting brackets have been added to accept standard four-gang device plates for the eight-gang box and standard five-gang device plates for the 10-gang box.

The Evolution Series furniture feed box can now be installed in polished concrete and terrazzo floors thanks to a new concrete and terrazzo ring.

The Evolution Series floor box is available through Middle Atlantic Products
