New Lenza and Tonali Harmonium xf Linoleum Bring Style and Sustainability into Balance, Creating a Lifetime Return

Combining the beauty and benefits of linoleum with the proprietary xf™ finish, Johnsonite®, the commercial arm of Tarkett and provider of the world’s most integrated high-performance flooring systems, offers enhanced design opportunities with the new Lenza and Tonali Harmonium xf collections. The two coordinating tone-on-tone product lines combine beauty, sustainability and ease of maintenance.

"Johnsonite is constantly striving to add more beauty and value to our flooring," said Laurey Banker, director of product management, Johnsonite. "The combination of Lenza and Tonali offers the textures and patterns customers want, with the quality, high performance and ease of maintenance they need."

Flawless Designs

The nature-inspired, tone-on-tone designs and textures add new direction to any design.  Lenza provides a striated pattern with varying contrasts, while Tonali offers a marbleized look.  These differences allow for greater flexibility in their combined overall design.

Featuring 16 warm and friendly colorways, the Lenza and Tonali lines are available in plenty of options to combine, contrast and mix-and-match, providing flawless results and a great match. Although designed to work with each other, they also coordinate beautifully with all the other Johnsonite flooring solution collections.

In addition to the design capabilities, Lenza and Tonali products contain cork, providing excellent acoustic properties as well as comfort underfoot.

Sustainability

Lenza and Tonali are environmentally responsible solutions, boasting 95 percent natural materials, such as linseed oil, flax seed, wood and limestone.  In fact, the linoleum products contain the highest amount of rapidly renewable content in the industry at 73 percent, and feature 34 percent recycled content. Additionally, the products have earned a Cradle to Cradle Silver ranking and are USDA Bio-based 95 percent certified for the ideal sustainable solution.

Ease of Maintenance

Both Lenza and Tonali feature Johnsonite’s proprietary Harmonium xf finish.  The toughest in the industry, this finish requires no initial waxing and polishing.  Maintenance is faster and easier, saving most end users 30 percent on maintenance and 50 percent on water, detergents and energy over the life of the floor.

No other linoleum is so resistant to stains, abrasion and chemicals. Third party testing at the WFK Institute in Germany, a leading international cleaning technology research center, has shown that Lenza and Tonali, as well as the other Harmonium xf collections, significantly outperform ordinary linoleum in brightness and color retention.  In addition, they offer alkali and stain resistance to a variety of substances including acetone, coffee and betadine. Plus, they’re naturally antibacterial, biodegradable and fire retardant.

In addition to the stylish, sustainable and easy maintenance properties, the flooring is part of a complete system that includes finishing borders.
