Yale Intouch Stand-Alone Touchscreen Access Locks Available as Certified Grade 1
LENOIR CITY, Tenn. -- Yale Locks and Hardware (www.yalelocks.com), an ASSA ABLOY Group company and a world leader in door hardware for residential and commercial applications, announces that its inTouch® stand-alone touchscreen access locks are now available to order as certified ANSI/BHMA Grade 1.
The ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 certification was sought to meet increased demand in the marketplace for a higher-security lock in a variety of vertical industries, such as data centers, hospitals, and financial institutions, according to Gary Agans, Brand and Product Manager for Yale Locks & Hardware.
By combining a touchscreen display with a cylindrical lockset, Yale inTouch has redesigned the industry’s concept of stand-alone locking devices. Unlike other stand-alone keypad devices, inTouch locks have no buttons. Instead, inTouch robust Grade 1 cylindrical locksets feature a digital display that awakens when touched. Programming for day-to-day use of the lock and fast updates of user information is simplified with an interactive, voice-guided system. Yale inTouch is an ideal access control solution for healthcare facilities, offices, retail establishments, and government facilities.
Access is granted with entry of a 4- to 12-digit user pin code. A request to exit (REX) input allows remote access capability. Two operational modes are available: Easy Mode that accommodates up to nine unique user identities and Advanced Mode that accommodates up to 1,000 unique user identities. Additional capabilities include a lockout mode, passage mode and auto relock.
Yale inTouch Grade 1 units are currently available to order with three-week lead times for shipping. These units will be available as QuickShip orders (just five-day lead times for shipping) after October 3, 2011.
