Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania, Ohio invites applicants for the position of Maintenance Supervisor. This is a full-time, non-exempt, twelve-month position.
Working under the direction of the Director of Facilities and Grounds, the Maintenance Supervisor provides leadership, direction and oversight for a wide variety of complex and routine facilities maintenance functions related to the buildings and infrastructure for the Sylvania Franciscan campus located in Sylvania, Ohio. Responsible for organizing, directing and monitoring the effective and efficient day-to-day and project activities of the Maintenance Division, including the performance of assigned staff and vendors.
Other key responsibilities include:
•Supervises and coordinates the building maintenance staff and related activities to include preparing daily work schedules, assigning work, and overseeing the work product.
•Maintains an adequate inventory of normal use supplies, tools and equipment using approved procurement procedures.
•Schedules, coordinates and performs routine maintenance and projects with maintenance staff. Schedules and coordinates projects with outside contractors.
•Considers budgetary and financial controls in decision making and consults with the Department Director as necessary for approval.
•Approves time-off requests and coordinates absence coverage where possible.
•Possess a high school diploma or GED and an Associate’s Degree (or equivalent) in a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
•Have a Master Mechanics License or equivalent and 10 years of associated work experience in a maintenance-related area.
•Have a working knowledge of all applicable regulatory codes, standards, and regulations as promulgated by FDA, NFPA, OSHA, NIOSH, Food Safety.
•Understand principles of plumbing, painting, electricity, carpentry, roofing, HVAC, building controls, building security and alarm systems, food service equipment and refrigeration. Able to troubleshoot and make limited repairs of such systems.
