Grounds managers in institutional and commercial facilities continue their search for increased efficiency and productivity for operators of equipment fleets, and one area drawing greater interest is reliable options for fuel sources. The process often includes a review of the benefits and challenges of using propane in equipment.
To provide access to critical information on using propane, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) recently announced a collaboration with the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) to provide U.S. propane users with expanded, real-time access to the recently enhanced NFPA LiNK, a digital platform for codes and standards information.
The effort includes single sign-on capability that aims to help propane users navigate from the PERC Learning Center dashboard directly into NFPA LiNK, ensuring safety information is available. The initiative is designed to support field technicians, safety directors and other industry professionals whose daily work depends on the accurate application of NFPA standards. The collaboration aims to:
- improve workflow by reducing time spent searching for regulatory guidance
- enhance compliance by ensuring operational procedures are consistently aligned with the latest safety requirements
- strengthen field readiness by empowering skilled workers to make informed, safe decisions on the jobsite.
