I’ve written about the subject of pooling, watermarking, pile reversal and shading several times over the years, but it is still an important issue. Despite the technology available for preventing pooling, watermarking, pile reversal and shading, the conditions persist. These issues, and the terms are somewhat synonymous in their meaning, continue to plague carpet manufacturers who produce high end cut pile carpet.
