TRIA Passes House of Representatives
The House of Representatives passed legislation (S. 467) to extend the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act (TRIA) for an additional two years, BOMA International has announced.
The House of Representatives passed legislation (S. 467) to extend the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act (TRIA) for an additional two years, BOMA International has announced.
The current terrorist risk insurance act is currently set to expire on December 31.
The legislation was approved by a vote of 371-49, BOMA says.
The Senate passed similar legislation on November 17. A Conference Committee between House and Senate negotiators is expected to begin this week, and Congressional leaders have said they hope to have a bill to the President before the end of the year.
