Share Your Wisdom
NFMT West is now accepting speaker proposals, giving facilities professionals the opportunity to step out of the audience and onto the stage.
By Dave Lubach, Chief Editor
Anyone who has attended one of our NFMT shows knows (and if you haven’t before, what are you waiting for?) the quality of presenters in the education sessions are top notch in the facilities management world.
But have you ever sat among the attendees at NFMT – or at any other industry conference you’ve attended – and wondered, “maybe I can do that, too.”
Now, you have a chance.
As we prepare to open the doors on a new era at NFMT East next month with our first-ever show in Charlotte, North Carolina, the preparation never stops for what’s ahead. Recently, the call for speakers opened for NFMT West, scheduled for Nov. 3-4 in Las Vegas.
That’s where you come in. Instead of being in the crowd, we’d love to see you on the podium, sharing your success stories and what you have learned during your successful careers, and sharing that knowledge with your peers and fellow attendees.
I speak with facility executives on a regular basis through interviews discussing their careers, ground-breaking projects that are taking place at their facilities or about their approaches to hiring, budgeting strategies or innovative ways of managing their staff. Each time I am impressed by their knowledge and ideas.
If I feel that way, I’m guessing many of the attendees at our shows do as well.
We know that our attendees find real value in learning from their peers, whether it’s through networking, webcasts or education sessions.
The wisdom and knowledge you share may save a peer thousands of dollars on a retrofit project or provide an idea that leads to hiring the next department leader.
