Under the terms of the settlement, ABCO will cease selling the products which were at issue in the lawsuit, including commercial cleaning equipment, and has agreed to pay Rubbermaid an undisclosed royalty for previous sales of certain ABCO commercial cleaning products.
“We are pleased with the successful outcome of this matter, which is just one of numerous actions initiated by Rubbermaid against companies who infringe our patents,” says Bob Kibbe, vice president of Rubbermaid Commercial Products. “Rubbermaid will continue its program of vigorous enforcement of its intellectual property rights, and actively pursue those who illegally use our technology and designs.”
