National Roofing Partners (NRP), a nonprofit association of independent roofing contractors, was officially launched today to establish and achieve new standards in operational performance and service quality for the commercial roofing industry.

Through NRP, members will collaborate to identify and implement industry best practices in safety, service, management, purchasing, IT, accounting and sales. NRP will also serve as a conduit linking independent roofing contractors to regional and national multifacility customers.

“We recommitted to bringing together the most talented, service oriented, well-run roofing companies in the nation to share best practices, build peer groups, and leverage group purchasing opportunities, all while maintaining member independence,” says Stephen Little, National Roofing Partners‚ president. “Being able to share best business practices and compete nationally shouldn’t cost you your identity.”

Each member has demonstrated a commitment to roofing excellence and customer satisfaction. All NRP applicants must be nominated by a current member and meet a set of audited membership criteria to be considered.

“All NRP members meet the industry‚s highest standards for professionalism and service,” says Bob Daly, secretary and treasurer of National Roofing Partners. “Most of the initial members have been very active in NRCA, MRCA and their local and state roofing contractor associations.”

NRP is focused on building its nationwide member network and expects to complete its nationwide footprint by the end of the year with approximately 125 members. Once complete, NRP will deliver professional, responsive, single-source roofing services to regional and national accounts at local pricing. NRP is planning to offer nationwide service in the first quarter of 2007.

Member territories are allocated based on a maximum response window of two to four hours to optimize service quality for NRP customers. This also guarantees equitable territories for all members. Members have primary responsibility for servicing NRP customers within their territory. However, if severe weather hits, members can leverage each other’s resources to provide a rapid response to customers through NRP’s severe weather program.

In order to consistently provide customers with superior service, NRP member‚s employees are trained in proprietary systems and standardized service procedures that will earn them NRP certification. NRP certification is set to become the gold standard in roofing service excellence.
