The BASYS line features turbine technology that generates hydroelectric power, which potentially extends faucet battery life up to 10 years. To maximize design opportunities and minimize under-sink clutter, the turbine inside the faucets has been miniaturized to fit inside the faucet spout itself. The faucets use commonly available AA batteries.
