Last Day for LEED AP Exam is Oct. 31



The last day to take the current version of the LEED Professional Accreditation exam will be Oct. 31. The test will be temporarily unavailable while the U.S. Green Building Council prepares to launch two new tracks for the LEED Professional Accreditation exam, and to update a version of the LEED for New Construction exam.




The last day to take the current version of the LEED Professional Accreditation exam will be Oct. 31. The test will be temporarily unavailable while the U.S. Green Building Council prepares to launch two new tracks for the LEED Professional Accreditation exam, and to update a version of the LEED for New Construction exam.

Testing will resume on Dec. 1.

The new tracks will recognize the specific knowledge and expertise of industry professionals involved in interior design and building operations and maintenance, USGBC says. They will be offered in addition to the LEED for New Construction exam as separate tracks towards achieving LEED Professional Accreditation.

All three tracks will lead to earning the LEED AP credential and will cover the following objectives:

Section I: Knowledge of LEED credit intents, requirements, submittals and technologies Section II: Coordination of project team members to achieve LEED certification Section III: Implementation of LEED process and knowledge of project tools and resources Section IV: Verification of LEED technical requirements and documentation
